Superintendent

Greetings from the Elmwood Local School District. My name is Tony Borton, and I am in my sixteenth year as superintendent of this great school district. Elmwood serves about 1,130 students from preschool through 12th grade. The vision of Elmwood is to "Empower all students through personalized learning experiences while building hope, trust, and confidence within the Elmwood Local Schools community."

Every school year, our goal is to give students the best all-around education and experience that we possibly can. Our top-notch staff helps us reach this goal, and they are welcoming and ready to answer any questions you may have.

During this school year, the Board of Education will begin the search for a new Superintendent as I have announced that I am retiring on July 31st.  The Board will keep the public updated on this process and will welcome input.

For any school district to be successful, the community, parents, and schools must work together. I believe that this particular relationship is what makes Elmwood stand out. Our community goes above and beyond to make sure its school is successful.

In closing, I am excited for the future and all it brings. I look forward to providing any support you may need. If I can be of further assistance, please email me at [email protected] or call my office at 419-655-2583. Option 4 will put you through to the Central Office.
