At Elmwood Local Schools, we are focused on using technology to empower students as life long learners.  The technology department focus is to enhance the student education experience while guiding students to be career and/or college ready.

Our team works diligently to support every student, staff member, and family in a digital world.  If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me directly.

Frequently Asked Questions

What should I do if my child's Chromebook is broken or not working?
Students in grades 5-12 should take it to the media center at their earliest convenience.  Students in grade K-4 should make their teacher aware of the issue.

Are students allowed to bring their personal devices instead of school-issued Chromebooks?
No. For safety, conistency, and monitoring purposes, all students must use district-issued devices.  Please contact the technology department for any questions.

Does the district monitor student online activity?
All Chromebooks and Google accounts are monitored by Lightspeed to ensure student safety and compliance.

What steps does Elmwood take to protect student data privacy?
We only work with vendors who are compliant with Senate Bill 29.  All vendors Elmwood works with must sign a data privacy agreement.
